Shinhwa’s leader Eric revealed the reason he told the members not to get married.

During the February 23 broadcast of SBS’ Healing Camp, Eric appeared along with the other Shinhwa members and shared the stories behind the new album activities.

The Shinhwa members said, “We hope that we can be together like this for a long time,” and Jun Jin said, “When we get older, we will get married and have kids. I hope that we can be together like this even then.”

Then Eric said, “I would like to be the first to get married if one of the Shinhwa members were to get married. I think the first one to get married would be congratulated the most,” bringing out laughter.

Eric also shared Shinhwa’s plans for promotional activities this year.

Jun Jin said, “One of Shinhwa’s plans for this year is to not get married. Eric told us that the songs in the 12th album are really good and that although he knows that we’re at the age to get married, we should not get married during this promotional period.”

Then Eric said, “The rookie singers these days get their cell phones taken away, but for us, we’re banned from getting married,” and Jun Jin jokingly added, “Even if we meet the perfect match, we cannot get married,” bringing out laughter.

Having debuted in 1998, Shinhwa has been promoting for the past 17 years without switching out members, becoming the longest promoting idol group in Korea. Shinhwa will be making a comeback with the 12th full-length album We on February 26.
