[Video] San E Confirms as MC for ′Show Me the Money′ Spin-off ′Unpretty Rapstar′
With the first teaser for Mnet′s Unpretty Rapstar, the ′Show Me the Money Girls′, who don′t pretend to be pretty, hinted at a fierce hip-hop battle.
Mnet′s Unpretty Rapstar is a spin-off program of Show Me the Money to produce the first compilation album of female rappers in Korea. Eight talented female rappers will participated in the fierce survival battle.
In the first teaser for Unpretty Rapstar, revealed on January 19, the eight rappers were revealed as Jessi, Jolly V, Cheetah, AOA′s Jimin, Tymee, Kisum, Lil Cham, and Yuk Ji Dam. They kept to a black dress code, expressing their own characters through their clothes and actions as the captions read, ′The hip-hop of these girls who don′t pretend to be pretty will collide!′ With anticipation on the rise, people are already wondering who will become a part of Show Me the Money Girls.
With the first broadcast on January 29, the MC of Unpretty Rapstar with the nickname ′Rap Teacher′ has been chosen as San E. This will be the first time San E will be the MC of a program. San E was in a team with Swings in Show Me the Money 3, making his presense be known. He also received much love with the song One Midsummer Night′s Sweetness with After School′s Raina.
Regarding this, San E stated, "I never thought I could become the MC of a program that I′ve done before. When I heard it the first time, my heart fluttered at the new challenge, and I wasn′t even able to sleep the night before the first filming because I was half worried and half excited."
"I thank the staff who supported and believed in me despite lacking in so much. I only have thoughts to do my best for the program than for myself."
The first episode of Unpretty Rapstar will begin on January 29 and will air every Wednesday at 11 PM KST for six weeks.
