A Pink’s Jung Eun Ji to Appear as the First Virtual Lover on JTBC’s New Variety Show
A Pink’s Jung Eun Ji will be appearing as the first ‘virtual lover’ on JTBC’s new variety program Dating Alone (translated).
Having recorded Dating Alone recently, Jung Eun Ji shared, “It wasn’t easy, since I wasn′t acting with an actor standing in front of me, but in front of the cast and the audience members over camera. In a way, it was a wonderful and an unfamiliar experience,” and “I tried my best to realistically create the image of a ‘lover.’
She added “I was the first ‘virtual lover’ of Dating Alone and I hope that you can enjoy watching and show a lot of love for it.”
Dating Alone is JTBC’s new show about ‘one-person virtual reality romance.’ It is a program that will delve into the psychology of women by having participants go on virtual reality dates with the woman in the VCR.
The woman that appears in the VCR has to carry out different missions in order to make the male participants and viewers feel like they are actually dating her.
As the role of the ‘virtual lover’ is important, to the point of determining the failure or the success of the program, the production team has been pouring efforts into casting charming and popular female celebrities.
At the time of filming, Jung Eun Ji acted out a variety of situations alone in front of the camera, creating a lovely girlfriend image. As she has starred in a number of dramas, including Reply 1997, Trot Lovers and That Winter, The Wind Blows, she reportedly satisfied the production team with her outstanding acting abilities.
The male MC and participants, who filmed the show at the studio, also responded passionately, claiming that Jung Eun Ji is a hot idol star these days with all of them saying, “It’s good thing I came on this program.”
Dating Alone, hosted by MC Kim Min Jong, Jun Hyun Moo, Sung Si Kyung, Jang Dong Min and Cross Gene’s Shin, recently finished filming its first episode.
It is set to begin in January.
