Lee Seung Gi Promises to Hop on a Drop Tower Ride with Fans if Movie Hits 5 Million Views
Despite his acrophobia, Lee Seung Gi is willing to go to great heights for his new movie Today′s Love.
On January 8, the press screening for the movie Today′s Love took place at the Wangsimni CGV Theaters. The screening was attended by Lee Seung Gi, Moon Chae Won and director Park Jin Pyo.
Director Park Jin Pyo shared, "There′s a scene where Lee Seung Gi had to ride the Gyro Drop (drop tower ride) but Lee Seung Gi always had a fear of heights, so he was scared of this scene."
The director continued, "He rode it about 37 times, and it was probably very difficult for him, but I′m thankful for Lee Seung Gi who pulled through. He even said that he somewhat got over his fear as well."
Lee Seung Gi added, "I can′t even ride swings. Even when I ride swings, I get dizzy and get sick. I asked the director to take out this scene, but he said it was a scene that needed to be included. Because I have acrophobia for real, it was a very meaningful scene for me."
Despite his fears, Lee Seung Gi showed that he was willing to ride the Gyro Drop once more as he promised to ride the Gyro Drop with 50 fans if Today′s Love hits five million views.
Today′s Love is about Jun Su (Lee Seung Gi) and Hyun Woo (Moon Chae Won) who have carried on an ambiguous relationship, situated between friends and lovers, for 18 years.
The movie premieres January 14.
