EXO’s D.O to Decorate Opening and Closing of ‘2014 KBS Music Festival’
2014 KBS Music Festival will be telling a special fairy tale through its opening and closing stages.
An affiliate of KBS revealed that EXO will be responsible for the opening and closing stages of 2014 KBS Music Festival (MC: Lee Hwi Jae, Taecyeon, Yoona) set to broadcast on December 26. EXO’s D.O, who has been gathering global popularity in and out of Korea, in particular, will be taking over the stages.
Unlike the usual format of having singers perform during the opening and closing, this year’s music festival will have a prologue and an epilogue. The prologue and the epilogue will be showcased like a fairy tale centered on D.O’s fantastic narration.
D.O starred in the drama It’s Okay, It’s Love and the movie Cart this year, gaining recognition for his acting ability. He has also been selected as one of the ‘Best Acting-dols of This Year’ on KBS’ Entertainment Weekly by ten critics of popular culture. As D.O has earned recognition for his performances as a singer as well as for his acting ability, curiosity has been increasing on his upcoming performance on 2014 KBS Music Festival.
As D.O will be opening the festival with the keyword ‘Music Is Love,’ he will be presenting heartwarming performances with the concept of love.
It has been reported that D.O has been preparing for the stage, working harder than ever, as it will be an important stage bringing together the music industry, which went through a lot of ups and downs throughout this year.
About this, an affiliate of 2014 KBS Music Festival said, “EXO’s D.O is not only a member of the top idol group that is popular in the K-pop market but has outstanding acting and performance abilities and has been selected as the star to announce the beginning and ending of the festival,” adding, “Please anticipate the extraordinary stage which will become an exceptional opening.”
Meanwhile, 2014 KBS Music Festival will take place on December 26 from 8:30 p.m. (KST) for about 220 minutes at the KBS hall and will be broadcast live through KBS 2TV.
