Netizen Who Cyberbullied miss A’s Suzy Sent to Prosecutors
The netizen who left malicious comments about miss A’s Suzy has been sent to the prosecutors.
On November 25, Seoul Gangnam Police Station indicted the netizen who constantly left malicious comments on Suzy’s SNS and sent him or her to the public prosecutor’s office.
The netizen, who is known to be a company worker in his or her 30’s, left malicious comments on Suzy’s SNS, such as ‘Get kicked out of the entertainment industry,’ and ‘You should just die in a car accident.’ When the comments became worse with time, Suzy left a comment saying, ‘So you wish I was dead,’ and when it led to a bigger controversy, the netizen deleted all the malicious comments.
About this, JYP Entertainment stated on November 11, “We will strongly confront the netizen who is leaving malicious comments to Suzy,” as it filed a complaint against the netizen. Afterwards, Seoul Gangnam Police Station investigated the issue before sending the case to the prosecutor’s office.
An affiliate of JYP Entertainment told Newsen on December 2, “We have not changed our stance to firmly handle the malicious comments left about the company’s artist.”
After the situation arose with Suzy, JYP Entertainment had left statements on its artists’ official fan sites, claiming that it will firmly handle the malicious comments.
