Masta Wu will be releasing a new song in six years through YG’s hip-hop project 2.

On November 28, YG revealed that Masta Wu is the second member of YG hip-hop project 2 through the poster uploaded on its official blog.

Having released his first full length album Masta Peace in 2003, marking his territory on the hip-hop scene with his unique rap style, Masta Wu formed YMGA along with DM in 2006, releasing an album filled with music only the duo could pull off.

As YG’s songwriter, he has since participated in various songs, including Lee Hi’s 1,2,3,4, Hi Suhyun’s I’m Different and more, and recently appeared on Mnet’s Show Me the Money 3 with Tablo, showing another side to himself. Masta Wu will be releasing a new song for the first time in a long time through this project, bringing good news to the fans who enjoy his music.

YG previously announced Bobby as the first member of the hip-hop project 2 and anticipation has been increasing on what kind of music will be made through the meeting of YG’s senior rapper Masta Wu and the new rapper Bobby.

As the first two members of YG’s hip-hop project 2 have been revealed as Masta Wu and Bobby, more anticipation has been rising on the final member of the upcoming unit.
