Big Bang’s Best Album Ranks No. 1 on Oricon
Big Bang’s best album has topped the Oricon chart in Japan.
On November 26, Big Bang released The Best of Big Bang 2006-2014 containing the group’s 50 representative songs in celebration of Big Bang’s fifth anniversary in Japan and launching of the five dome tour.
The album sold over 93,226 copies on the day of its release, ranking number one on Oricon’s daily album chart. This sales record has topped all other albums Big Bang has released in Japan so far.
The best album includes three CDs, containing the Japanese debut song My Heaven in 2009, Big Bang’s hit Fantastic Baby, the songs from the album Alive – Monster Edition as well as each member’s solo songs and other hit songs.
On top of the three CDs, the album also includes two DVDs that contain 32 music videos and performance video clips from A – Nation Stadium that launched in 2014. The album holds a special meaning since it has been released in celebration of its fifth anniversary in Japan and launching of the five dome tour.
Big Bang Taeyang’s live DVD & Blu ray for his first Japan solo tour Japan Tour ‘Rise’ 2014, which gathered 70,000 fans in 13 concerts in six cities, will be released on January 28 of next year. It will include live performances and a documentary from the event that launched in Tokyo International Forum Hall A as well as a photo book and special video content.
Big Bang has been meeting with the fans through Big Bang Japan Dome Tour 2014~2015 performing in Nagoya dome on November 15 and 16 and in Kyocera dome, Osaka on November 20, 21, 22 and 23. The group will continue by performing in Fukuoka Yafuoku! dome on December 6 and 7, Sapporo dome on December 20 and Tokyo dome on December 25, 2, and 27, meeting with 741,000 fans over 15 concerts around five cities.
