Looking back on 2014, men′s magazine GQ Korea picked nine men who were extraordinary in the past year, including SHINee′s Taemin and iKON′s Bobby.

In the upcoming December issue of GQ Korea, nine men were selected as ′Men of the Year′ from different areas in society.

Taemin, who was one of the nine, debuted as a soloist in 2014, having a short but impactful promotion period.

"I wanted to show myself as more of an artist on stage. I think in order to do that, the most important thing is to focus on the song. The issue is how focused am I, and how focused will the people be when watching. I′m very focused on the stage," stated Taemin.

"Compared to what I imagined 22 years to feel like when I was little, I think I′m doing pretty well. I think this because when I was young, I only imagined my dancing and singing abilities in the future, but now I see a style of myself now that I never imagined."

Featured as one of the nine, Bobby shared his thoughts on appearing on three survival programs ahead of his official debut. "I believe that survival programs are an ideal setting to improve your skills. You get some scars and you realize what you lack. Although you go through a lot of inner struggles, when you′re done, you′ve definitely grown."

"Although I′ve won Show Me the Money 3, I′m not the best rapper there. I think my performances were just strong," said Bobby with humility. "I want to be acknowledged by people who can judge me objectively. I want to continue growing and hope to go over the summit, the sky above it, and the space over it."

Despite his birthday coming up in December, Bobby said he plans on practicing. "I think it′s important to have colleagues who receive the same attention and have the same goals as you. The iKON members are like brothers to me and I believe our competitiveness towards each other will be fuel for me."

He added, "If I′m with my iKON brothers, I think it′ll be really fun. Our music will become bigger and bigger."

The other seven men who chosen as ′Men of the Year′ include anchorman Son Seok Hee, baseball player Seo Gun Chang, actor Jung Woo Sung, cartoonist Choi Kyu Seok, Hyoam Foundation′s Choi Hyun Guk, artist Choi Jung Hwa, and wrestling player Kim Hyun Woo. Chosen as ′Woman of the Year′ was SISTAR′s Soyou.
