M.I.B’s Kangnam confessed that he was bullied because he is bi-ethnic.

During the November 23 broadcast of JTBC’s Salon de Raison, Kangnam revealed that he was bullied during childhood because he is bi-ethnic.

Kangnam said, “When I went to kindergarten in Japan, I was extremely bullied. I was beat up so much,” adding, “Not only was I short and small, I was partly Korean, so I was beat up to the point my bones broke.”

Kangnam, who is a Japanese citizen born of a Korean mother and Japanese father and spent his childhood in Japan, confessed, “When I was in kindergarten, the level of bullying was the worst because the kids don’t know what they’re doing. My hair was pulled and they swore at me. My mom would cry too.”

Jo Se Ho also said, “I went to school in Japan before I transferred to Korea but the moment I said that I’m from Japan, I was bullied. I told my parents that I don’t want to go to school out of my immaturity. I would throw away the things I bought from Japan without letting my mom know.”

Salon de Raison featured Hong Jin Ho and Jo Se Ho as guests, dealing with stories behind Hong Jin Ho’s dating rumor with Lady Jane, Jo Se Ho keeping Kangnam in check and more.
