‘Miss Go’s’ Go Hyun Jung Speaks Up about Her Strong Personality

Director Park Chul Kwan and actors Go Hyun Jung, Yu Hae Jin, Lee Mun Sik and Go Chang Seok were present to talk about what happened behind the scenes.

When the press asked her whether she had any timid sides to her like her role, Go Hyun Jung answered, “Of course. I was confused when I made my comeback. Because it was my first appearance in a long time, I didn’t know how I should act to seem like a grown-up.”

Go Hyun Jung will be acting in a timid and weak role this time as Chun Su Ro, a woman who suffers from panic disorder.

The actress has appeared in strong roles for MBC’s Queen Seon Deok and SBS’ Big Thing and is known for her charismatic personality, so her new fragile image is expected to draw much interest to the film.

“After my return, when I met people or those I would be acting with, I didn’t want to show them my clumsy or weak side,” she said. “I had to choose to be strong sometimes against my will. Through this role, I was reminded that I had such a side to me. It’s not [a characteristic] that wasn’t in me at all.”

She finished, “I benefit a lot from acting with great seniors. I worked hard during the last year on this film. I hope you like it.”

Miss Go is about how a timid woman suffering from social phobias gets involved in an incident between Korea’s biggest criminal organizations, and slowly becomes the queen of criminals with the help of five men she meets in the process. The film will premiere on June 21.
