While everyone’s attention was on miss A’s big entrance into KBS drama Big, Baek Sung Hyun proved that he couldn’t be overshadowed by the singer/actress.

Having once confused the terms for ‘brother-in-law’ with ‘sister-in-law,’ Baek Sung Hyun showed that he was just a little bit lacking in the intelligence factor, confusing simple words and not showing much logic for the first two episodes.

In episode three, he confidently remarks, “My brother-in-law is a doctor. So he is at the hostess,” actually meaning hospital.

Baek Sung Hyun’s Dimwitted Crush on Suzy Begins on ‘Big’

On June 11, even with the entrance of Suzy, Baek Sung Hyun’s character continued to crack viewers up with his humorous ignorance.

When Suzy enters the school to find her boyfriend, Baek Sung Hyun immediately falls in love with her. As Suzy leaves the school, Baek Sung Hyun sprints down to the school gate and leans against the wall, trying to look cool as men do in movies.

Then he proceeds to take out a permanent marker and write his phone number on her handbag, telling her to call him. Unmoved by the action, Suzy nonchalantly says, “You just ruined my bag.”

“I’ll buy you enough pizza to pay for the bag,” he says confidently before swiftly walking back into school.

He later finds out the bag’s cost is worth 300 pizzas and his confident ego shrinks into a sweet little puppy-eyed boy waiting for Suzy’s command.

Baek Sung Hyun, who first made his debut in 1994 at the age of five in the movie I Wish For What Is Forbidden To Me, has been receiving and love from viewers for his portrayal of the endearing dimwitted brother of Gil Daran.

He has also recently made his debut in variety through KBS’ Invincible Youth.
