BTOB’s Lim Hyun Sik Talks About His Famous Father
BTOB’s Lim Hyun Sik shared his thoughts on writing the song I Don’t Know.
During October 6’s broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s Gayo Plaza, Lim Hyun Sik said, “There is a song called I Don’t Know, which is the 5th track in the new album and I wrote, composed and arranged the song.”
When DJ Lee Sora asked, “Did you get help from your father Lim Ji Hoon?” Lim Hyun Sik answered, “I wrote it myself without getting any help from my father.”
BTOB’s Lee Chang Sub also said, “He inherited his musical talent from his father,” as he praised Jung Il Hoon’s songwriting skills.
Lim Hyun Sik said, “I Don’t Know is a sad song that expresses straightforward lyrics with a soft feel for the fans to enjoy listening to for a long time. The lyrics come from my own experiences as well as made up things based on my thoughts.”
Lee Sora said, “When I look at Hyun Sik, he has the image of a model student” to which Lee Chang Sub jokingly commented, “Do you really think that’s true?” causing a round of laughter.
Lim Hyun Sik’s father Lim Ji Hoon is an acoustic folk-pop singer and singer-songwriter, who led Korea’s popular music scene in 1980’s.
