YG Releases Official Statement Regarding Cha Seung Won’s Paternity Suit
Cha Seung Won officially revealed that his pro-gramer son Cha Noah is not his biological son and that he does not regret the decision he made at that time.
YG Entertainment, Cha Seung Won’s agency, released the official press release on October 6, speaking up on the controversy surrounding Cha Noah’s paternity suit.
YG stated, “Cha Seung Won got married 22 years ago and at that time, his wife and her three year old son, born between her and her ex-husband, became his family. Cha Seung Won firmly believes that Noah is his son, who was born out of his love. He has revealed that he does not regret his decision made at that time.”
YG continued, “He has been struggling as his family will be heart-broken due to the article. Nevertheless, he will continue to protect his family no matter what kind of hardship he will face in the future,” and added, “We ask for your cooperation so there will be no speculative articles be released regarding his family.”
Channel A reported earlier on October 5, “A man has appeared claiming that he is the biological father of Cha Seung Won’s eldest son, Cha Noah. This man has filed a lawsuit against Cha Seung Won couple at the Seoul Central District Court in July. This man claimed, ‘Cha Seung Won has been acting like Cha Noah is his biological son, denigrating my name,’ and requested that he receives compensation in the amount of 100 million won for the damage.”
