US’ ABC to Remake ‘You Who Came From the Stars’ Alongside Writer Park Ji Eun

A chicken and beer phenomenon may hit the US, as the television network, ABC is looking to recreate SBS’ You Who Came From the Stars.

According to the Hollywood Reporter on September 18, ABC is currently looking to recreate the popular SBS drama, which starred Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. Writers Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, who penned the 100, 666 Park Avenue, The Vampire Diaries, and The Dollhouse will be working on the new adaption.

US’ ABC to Remake ‘You Who Came From the Stars’ Alongside Writer Park Ji Eun

HB Entertainment, which holds the rights to the Korean series, and writer Park Ji Eun, behind the drama’s story, will be participating in the project as executive producers.

The US remake will follow the original storyline with the characters, Lark, a world-famous actress, and James, the anti-social alien from another planet.

It’s uncertain when the US remake will broadcast.

You Who Came From the Stars becomes the latest Korean production to be recreated in the US after Good Doctor and Grandpas Over Flowers.
