Thailand hasn′t forgotten about him even after a year. The ‘Giraffe’ Lee Kwang Soo was still as popular as he was a year before in the country.

The June 3 broadcast of SBS’ Running Man showed how the members stepped on Thailand soil for the first time in a year after being invited by Park Ji Sung to the 2nd Asian Dream Cup charity event.

As soon as the cast stepped into the airport, they were greeted by a big crowd. The crowd of fans had stayed up late into the night to welcome Park Ji Sung and the Running Man members to their country.

Lee Kwang Soo especially couldn’t hide his excitement. He’s known to be the most ′pathetic′ character in Running Man, but he managed to prove his power as a hallyu star in Thailand, following the last bout of popularity he felt the year before.

He was even presented a giraffe doll while trying to fulfill a mission under MC Park Ji Sung’s command. He was nicknamed ‘Giraffe’ on the show due to his tall height, and when he was given the doll he couldn’t stop himself from blurting out “thank you” over and over again.

The mission took place in order to choose two members that would be participating in the 2nd Asian Dream Cup charity game. Kim Jong Kook and Gary were chosen as the winners, but their team unfortunately fell behind Thailand’s team of former soccer players and celebrities.
