Satisfying the expectation of the fans, Orange Caramel returned with yet another unique concept.

Adding a new concept to an addictive melody in each of its albums, Orange Caramel released the new song My Copycat on August 18. My Copycat features a repetitive saxophone riff on top of exciting EDM along with entertaining lyrics that urge the listeners to ‘copy me.’

Having shown off different food concept costumes during its promotions for Catallena, Orange Caramel returned with a new concept combining ‘Where’s Wally?’ with game elements from ‘spot the differences in two pictures.′

During recent interview with Newsen in the waiting room of KBS’s Music Bank, Orange Caramel spilled on its unique concepts.

When asked how they split the unique items among the members, Raina answered, “Sometimes we do ‘rock paper scissors’ and other times whoever takes the item first gets it. Or there are times when I get to pick first, since I’m the unnie.”

When asked if they ever want to try innocent or sexy concepts, Lizzy said, “We tried sexy and innocent concepts when we were promoting as After School and since so many girl groups already do them, we like the unique concept. I think our concepts are more fun and exciting.”

Are there any other unique concepts that the Orange Caramel members would like to try? And how much of their opinions are counted towards new songs?

Orange Caramel asked, “Wouldn’t the public reject it if we went further with the unique concepts?” and added, “When we hold meetings for ideas, the overall frame is set by the professionals or the company and we just add in our thoughts for details.”

Setting the unique concept as its trademark, Orange Caramel has been promoting more actively than its home group After School. Wouldn’t the other After School members feel jealous about this?

Raina said, “The members don’t get jealous of our activities. Instead of saying, ‘I want to be in Orange Caramel too,’ they’ve always said, ‘you guys can do it.’ The members promised us that they will come to the broadcasting station if we win first place.”
