[Video] Zo In Sung, SUJU’s Choi Siwon, and Brian Joo Take the ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’
After being nominated by Sean and Tim, Zo In Sung, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon, and Brian Joo answered the call and took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
On August 18 and 19, Brian Joo, Choi Siwon, and Zo In Sung took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS research.
Ahead of their ice bucket showers, Brian Joo nominated his friends, Choi Siwon nominated his fellow members Donghae and Eunhyuk, and Sung Il Park, while Zo In Sung nominated Lee Kwang Soo, Im Joo Wan, and baseball player Cho In Sung.
Big Bang’s G-Dragon, who was also nominated by Sean, has yet to take the challenge. However, he has already donated 81.1 million won to the Seungil Hope Foundation for Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) for his birthday on August 18. Still, fans are waiting for G-Dragon to take the challenge to raise more awareness.
The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge began in 2013 in the US, as people began to dump a bucket of ice water on themselves to raise awareness for the research of a certain disease. The person would then nominate three people to do the same within 24 hours since being challenged or a donation of $100 or more must be made to a charity of their choice.
The challenge went viral, focusing mostly on research for ALS, or Lou Gehrig′s disease.
