According to the May 27 data from AGB Nielsen Media Research, the May 26 broadcast of SBS′ A Gentleman′s Dignity, starring Jang Dong Gun, managed to gather 14.1 percent in viewership ratings.

Although Song Seung Hun′s MBC drama Dr. Jin managed to garner a nifty 12.2 percent, it still trailed behind A Gentleman′s Dignity by 1.9 percent.

A Gentleman′s Dignity had the upper hand from the start as it is Jang Dong Gun′s first return to the small screen in 12 years. The story is also being produced by the hit-making team, scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook and producer Shin Woo Chul of SBS′ Secret Garden and Lovers in Prague.

The first episode introduced the four handsome, middle-aged men Kim Do Jin (Jang Dong Gun), Im Tae San (Kim Su Ro), Choi Yoon (Kim Min Jong) and Lee Jung Rok (Lee Jong Hyuk). We also saw Kim Do Jin and the off-the-wall Seo Yi Su (Kim Ha Neul) meet for the first time, providing a preview of their funny story to come.

Song Seung Hun′s Dr. Jin also drew viewers to the screen with an interesting episode, fitting of the ′fantasy medical drama′ genre, in which Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Hun), the biggest neurosurgeon of his time, jumps to the past after a sudden accident, landing in the Joseon Period.

The drama grabbed the viewers′ attention for its fast pace and the different charms of Jin Hyuk, Lee Ha Eung (Lee Bum Soo) and Kim Kyung Tak (Kim Jae Joong).
