‘Twenty’ Sells the Most Records in FT Island History
After celebrating its second year anniversary in Japan on May 19, FT Island learned that it sold the most albums in FT Island′s history in Japan.
FT Island’s Twenty was released on May 16 and placed third in the Daily Oricon Charts, closely chasing after Japan’s veteran group, Mr. Children.
However, FT Island placed first in the competition between albums that were also released on May 16, and with 41,726 copies of its new album sold within a week of the release date, FT Island has surpassed its previous record sales of 36,980 copies for its Japanese album, Five Treasure Island.
The album Twenty was named after the average age of the FT Island members and their belief that this album would show its audience exactly the kind of music they are making while in their twenties.
With a lot of affection for this newly released album, FT Island plans on working hard to promote it in Japan, despite the group′s busy schedules in both Korea and Japan.
