Ji Hyun Woo disappointed his female fans by confessing that he will not be showing off his post-army body in his new drama.

Attending press conference for KBS 2TV’s new drama Trot Lovers in Grand Ambassador Hotel on June 18, Ji Hyun Woo emphasized that he ‘will not be going topless to capture the heart of female viewers.’

Ji Hyun Woo explained, “Shaping my body? I couldn’t do that. As I aged, I lost fat from my face. When I was in the army, I weighed up to 86 kilograms. But when I was trying to lose weight, I also lost fat from my face. I even heard that I look too skinny.”

He added, “My weight has actually gone up from before. I was 70 kilograms when I debuted and carried out activities but now I’m 78 kilograms. But it was too tough to shape my body. So I will definitely not be going topless,” causing a round of laughter.

Jung Eun Ji also explained her different looks by saying, “I purposely lost some weight for the drama and also lost some from my schedules. I had to get fit for A Pink’s Mr. Chu in order to wear pretty costumes, and I think I’ve maintained my body from that time.”

Meanwhile, Trot Lovers is a romantic comedy drama based on the movie A Star Is Born starring Barbra Streisand, depicting the story of a girl in her twenties achieving her success by meeting a genius musician.

The first episode is set to air on June 23.
