Ji Hyun Woo is Happy to Return through Bright Drama, ′Trot Lovers′
Singer and actor Ji Hyun Woo shared his thoughts on making a return to the small screen.
Ji Hyun Woo attended press conference for KBS2’s Trot Lovers on June 18 in Grand Ambassador Seoul Hotel and said, “I’m happy to be working on a drama after a long time.”
He added, “I feel good about acting in a bright drama that many people can enjoy watching. I will work hard during filming so I can show good acting.”
Ji Hyun Woo will be acting as ‘Jang Jun Hyun,’ who was once a star musician but fell into a pit of despair. Despite having the visuals, musical talents and fame, ‘Jang Jun Hyun’ is a supercilious character who despises trot music, but will later form a love line with ‘Choi Chun Hee,’ who dreams of becoming a trot singer.
The actor was discharged from the army in May 6, completing 21 months of active duty.
Meanwhile, Trot Lovers is a romantic comedy drama that will depict the story of a genius musician ‘Jang Jun Hyun’ (Ji Hyun Woo), a girl named ‘Choi Chun Hee’ (Jung Eun Ji) who bets everything in her life to become a trot singer, the CEO of an entertainment agency ‘Jo Geun Woo’ (Shin Sung Rok) and ‘Park Soo In,’ (Lee Se Young) a trainee who has both good looks and musical talent.
The first episode is set to air on June 23.
