Kang Ji Young, former member of Kara, will reportedly begin a new career as an actress in Japan.

A Japanese weekly magazine reported on June 10 that Kang Ji Young will begin her acting career in Japan this fall.

The magazine quoted an affiliate of the entertainment industry, writing “Having left for London in April to study abroad, Kang Ji Young will resume her activities this fall. She is currently discussing her new contract with a Japanese agency, Sweet Power.”

According to the report, Kang Ji Young coincidentally met with the CEO of Japanese entertainment agency, Sweet Power, during a dinner party and decided to walk down the path as an actress in Japan.

Sweet Power is an agency that houses numerous Japanese actresses, such as Meisa Kuroki, Maki Horikita, Mirei Kiritani and more. Kim Tae Hee has also signed with the agency for promotions in Japan.
