YG Releases Taeyang’s Tracklist and More Information on Second Official Album
As announced, Yang Hyun Suk revealed more information about Big Bang Taeyang’s Rise along with the album’s tracklist.
On May 29, YG Entertainment posted another message from Yang Hyun Suk, explaining Taeyang’s second official album. The album will have a total of nine tracks, featuring several notable names, such as Tablo, Choice 37, Teddy, G-Dragon, PK, The Fliptones, and more.
The title track will be Eyes, Nose, Mouth (translated), which was composed by Taeyang, DEE.P, and Rebecca Johnson with lyrics by Taeyang and Teddy.
Yang Hyun Suk explained that Taeyang will be promoting only one title song as it was too difficult to pick multiple title songs with most of the songs on the album considered a title track at one point. They decided to focus on the intial promotion with Eyes, Nose, Mouth first.
On choosing the title song with so many good candidates, Yang Hyun Suk wrote, “The reason why Eyes, Nose, Mouth became the title song is because when Taeyang sang the first verse in the recording studio, it was a very powerful song that made me feel that all the plans that we’ve made in the past several years just collapsed.”
He immediately began discussing with Taeyang on how to make the music video, making it one of the first times since Big Mama’s Break Away 11 years ago that Yang Hyun Suk actually shared ideas for a music video for YG artists.
Although Taeyang will only be promoting one song, there will be still be three music videos for Eyes, Nose, Mouth, 1AM, and Beautiful. Eyes, Nose, Mouth will be revealed on June 2, 1AM on June 10, and Beautiful sometime in mid-June.
Yang Hyun Suk showed much confidence in the nine songs chosen for Taeyang’s second album, saying each song could be at title song in its own.
He promised that his next message will be about Psy and Winner.
