LeeSsang’s Upcoming 8th Album Took Three Years to Make
LeeSsang is prepping for its comeback and is heightening the anticipation of fans with new details about its upcoming album.
LeeSsang’s upcoming eighth album is set to drop on May 25. The album will follow an ‘unplugged’ concept and will commemorate LeeSsang’s 10-year anniversary. But the album wasn’t a quick or easy one to make, as revealed by LeeSsang’s agency.
“This album actually took three years to produce and as such, is a highly-prepared album,” said LeeSsang’s agency. “The album was worked on since the 2009 sixth album and for this album, LeeSsang held countless auditions to bring together skilled individuals for a ‘LeeSsang Wandering Theater’ band. In order to create a sound and groove they wanted, they’ve been producing without end and working together for a while now.”
In order to create the vintage sound while maintaining the album’s quality, LeeSsang brought in instruments and equipments from all over the world.
Regarding the lengths the duo went to for this album, LeeSsang added, “The reason is simple. From our poorer days music was a part of our dream and [we’re doing all this] to return the love we’ve received and to invest in our next dreams. We’re not even sure what we will show next, but what we can say for sure is that the new horizons we will pursue for our music will never end.”
LeeSsang’s new album will drop on May 25 and will unveil one of the album’s tracks on May 18.
