BTS Makes Cover of Japanese Magazine Before Its Debut
With its Japanese debut coming up in June, the Japanese media has been shedding its spotlight on BTS.
An entertainment website ‘Oricon Style,’ operated by Oricon chart, will be publishing a serial column on BTS until July. It released the first interview with BTS on May 22, notifying its two-month-long serial coming up on the group.
ACC (Asia Contents Center), which is in charge of BTS’s Japanese management, announced on May 23, “Oricon Style normally deals with popular Japanese stars. The only hallyu stars they spotlight are limited to those who have established popularity in Japan, such as 2PM and B1A4. It is a special case for them be publishing a serial on a group who has yet to debut in Japan.”
A popular Japanese magazine Hary*Hana has also selected BTS to feature on the cover of its June issue. The magazine also included 20 pages of information on BTS’s debut and interviews with each of its members.
The magazine’s editor in chief said, “It was an extraordinary decision to select a new group, who has not yet debuted in Japan, as the cover model.”
Meanwhile, BTS will be launching an inauguration ceremony for its Japanese fan club on May 31 and release its debut single album No More Dream – Japanese Ver. on June 4. The album contains No More Dream, The Rise of Bangtan and I Like It, which have been recorded in Japanese.
