Jo Jeong Seok Gets Drenched for Five Hours for ‘The King 2Hearts’

Jo Jeong Seok’s emotional scene in the rain ahead of the drama’s upcoming episode has been revealed.

In the previous episode, Jo Jeong Seok’s character’s father was cut by Lee Seung Gi’s prince Lee Jae Ha after it was revealed he had previously worked with the enemy. Not knowing of the reasons behind his father′s firing, Jo Jeong Seok’s Eun Shi Kyung is seen still processing his conflicting emotions and thoughts in the rain over his loyalty to his father and to his friend and king.

The sorrowful drama scene was filmed on May 9 in Gyeonggi-do. In order to create the downpour effect, a special truck was used to pour water on Jo Jeong Seok. The actor filmed the scenes in the specially created down pour for five hours, and received the praise of the director for his flawless acting under such circumstances.

In addition, Jo Jeong Seok’s acting was said to be so real and powerful, it even moved some of the male staff members on set to become teary-eyed.

A source from the drama production said, “Jo Jeong Seok stood while getting drenched by a water spray for five hours, and is putting everything into his Eun Shi Kyung character. As much as Jo Jeong Seok’s dramatic and real acting is causing many individuals to become teary-eyed, he is showing his best acting. Please be in anticipation of him.”

The scene will unfold in the May 16 broadcast.
