As the nation slowly recovers from the Sewol ferry tragedy, music programs are slowly beginning to resume.

‘Music Core’ Scheduled to Air While ‘Music Bank’ and ‘Inkigayo’ Remain Canceled

Following Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN on May 8, MBC’s Music Core is scheduled to air. Instead of a usual broadcast, the music program will instead hold a commemoration special in a quiet atmosphere, focusing mostly with ballads.

On the other hand, KBS’ Music Bank and SBS’ Inkigayo will be canceled for the fourth week in a row to continue paying respects to all the victims involved in the ferry accident.

As of May 8, there are 269 people confirmed dead with 35 still unaccounted for.
