MBLAQ’s G.O. put on his wings on the musical stage.

Recently, many affiliates in the world of musicals have all been praising one idol: MBLAQ’s G.O.

It is no longer a surprise to see an idol perform on musical stage. However, with few exceptions, there has been a clear distinction between the comments made on their performance by the audience and the professionals in musicals.

Many professionals claim that although having idols perform in musicals sell tickets, thanks to their fandom, their performance abilities are lacking to capture the hearts of the maniac audience.

Among the many idols, there is one that stands out in the spring of 2014. MBLAQ’s G.O. challenged himself in two major musicals in 2014. One is Seopyeonje, which is currently playing, and the other is Kingdom of the Wind, which is to begin in May.

G.O. took the role of lead character ‘Dong Ho’ in Seopyeonje.

Based on the movie and novel of the same title, Seopyeonje depicts the story of ‘Dong Ho’ who abandons his stepfather and sister to leave for Seoul and returns later on to find his sister blinded and muted.

Many people who at first were opposed to G.O. acting out the dynamic and complicated character, later nodded their heads in approval.

G.O. has also been gathering interest for being cast as ‘Prince Ho Dong’ in Kingdom of the Wind. An affiliate of Seoul Performing Arts Company told Newsen, “Even though G.O. is an idol and is very busy, he has been practicing really hard.”
