With the ongoing search and rescue operations for the unaccounted for on the Sewol ferry tragedy, stars remained mostly quiet and still to pay their respect and grieve for the victims and their families.

But those who did speak out whispered prayers, hoping for the safe return of the missing, while others spit criticisms on how certain issues were handled.

”The people who are making up lies and rumors right now aren’t even human.”

With the growing number of rumors and false information traveling fast, 2PM’s Taecyeon took this Twitter to express his frustrations.

He wasn’t the only one, as 2PM’s Chansung, 2AM’s Lim Seulong, Lee Jung, and many more expressed their anger and frustrations over the handling of the Sewol ferry tragedy in terms of government, press, and even citizens.

”Just like the day you went to heaven, the entire nation is sad again.. The young souls who left their loving families without any preparation…. You take care of them there. I hope that the night of heaven will be peaceful today as well.”

Lee Hye Lim tweeted to her late husband, Im Youn Taek of Ulala Session, who passed away in 2013. Knowing how painful it is to lose a loved one, she expressed her sadness over the tragedy.

”My heart is also heavy as an adult in this world that cannot protect our children.

While his return as a radio DJ should have been celebrated, Epik High’s Tablo started his new radio program, Dreaming Radio with Tablo in a low tone on April 21 with rescue operations still happening.

”He said it was his first donation and apologized for the small amount.”

A rep of the Community Chest of Korea repeated the words of Lee Chang Sun, or MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, who quietly made a donation to the victims of the ferry incident.

We think Lee Joon had no reason to apologize.

”There are no words in this world that will console the families who’ve lost their children.”

YG Entertainment’s CEO and father of two children, Yang Hyun Suk expressed his deep sadness towards the parents who have lost their children in the ferry disaster. Showing that he is also grieving during this time, Yang Hyun Suk made a donation, hoping to be of some support for the families in any way possible.

And then there were others, who did not say anything but still kept the victims and their families in prayer through the Yellow Ribbon Campaign, hoping that there will be good news by the end of this tragedy.
