LeeSsang′s Gil Comments on KBS Censorship
LeeSsang member Gil and singer Harim expressed their regret for their song being denied permission to be aired on TV.
KBS recently labeled the title song `The Answer to Guys Like Me is You′ from LeeSsang′s 7th album ′AsuRa BalBalTa′ inappropriate because it was "pessimistic." The song is gathering much popularity, topping the charts on various online music websites soon after its release.
Gil composed the song, fellow LeeSsang member Gary wrote the lyrics and Harim pitched in with his vocals. Harim sent Gil a message saying, "A Korea I met at this hostel told me my song was censored, so I looked it up...and Gil, you know I′m a good person."
Gil answered with regret, saying, "I′m sorry. They say we′re pessimistic. But word flies fast, it′s already reached England."
The two made for a pretty hallyu couple, onscreen, at least, and just about every move Yoona made in the drama became a hot topic.
Yoona’ life wasn’t much different off screen, where she TEXTdrew crowds wherever she went and made top stars like Lee Seung Gi blush.
From being hailed the Nation’s First Love to reports claiming that the SNSD member was one of the top female idol earners, Yoona was nothing less than the best in 2012.
In April of last year, KBS censored Lee Hyori′s `Chitty Chitty Bang Bang′ because it went against the Road Traffic Laws, and recently, the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family banned songs that mentioned alcohol and cigarrettes, saying they were harmful to teenagers.
