Park Min Young Lets Go of Her Long Locks
Actress Park Min Young has chopped off her long locks for the first time in five years.
Park cut her hair in order to fully immerse herself in the Yun Jae In character she is set to portray in the new KBS2 drama Man of Honor, which premieres on October 12.
She decided to take the plunge because the shorter, lighter hairstyle was deemed more fitting for the cheery and vivacious Yun Jae In character.
Park, who has faithfully maintained her long tresses since her debut five years ago, gave off a fresh charm through the image transformation.
A representative from the actress’s agency said, “Park Min Young has transformed her image for the first time with a short hairstyle since debuting five years ago. She decided to cut her hair after coming to the conclusion herself that the hairstyle was more suitable for the Yun Jae In character.” The source continued, “As this is her first time acting in a traditional drama, she chose the short hairstyle to express her enthusiasm for the role. All she thinks about is transforming into the Yun Jae In character from head to toe. She will try her best for the role.”
“Park Min Young is portraying the bright and positive Yun Jae In character perfectly,” said a source from the drama’s production company Kim Jong Hak Production. “She is displaying great ambition and putting her all into the character, so please expect great things from Park.”
Man of Honor will succeed the drama The Princess’ Man.
