L’Arc-en-Ciel Praises Girls′ Generation and Reaffirms K-Pop′s Global Popularity
After previously sharing they were fans of Girls’ Generation, the members of Japanese legendary rock group, L’Arc-en-Ciel, have now added their praise of the girl group as well.
Ahead of L’Arc-en-Ciel’s Seoul Concert, to be held on May 5, the rock group held a press conference on May 4 at Seoul’s Grand Intercontinental Hotel.
At the press conference, member Tetsuya revealed his fandom of the nine member-group saying, “I like Girls’ Generation. Not just its music, but its style is great and cute while [the members′] dancing is excellent.”
The members also reaffirmed the growing global popularity of Korean music saying, “We traveled through a lot of different countries all over the world, but we could hear K-Pop music playing wherever we went. We wondered if we should start singing in Korean too. K-Pop is becoming a big boom all over the world. We want to be a part of that boom as well.”
L’Arc-en-Ciel is currently in the middle of its world tour in light of its twentieth anniversary as a group.
