Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan Leaves Liveworks and Prepares for Study Abroad in Canada
Still finding the need to improve himself at the age of 34, Shinhwa’s Kim Dong Wan will be heading off to Canada to study abroad.
On April 2, Liveworks Company announced that Kim Dong Wan will be leaving the company with the end of his contract. He has been signed with Liveworks Company for three years.
“As the end of his contract came near, we talked a very long time and came to an agreement,” said Liveworks Company. “Supporting each other’s future and for further improvement on both sides, we made this decision.”
Kim Dong Wan will be headed off to Canada to study abroad. He will return to Korea in July to prepare for Shinhwa’s upcoming 12th album in October.
“Although his contract as our agency’s artist will be over, Liveworks Company will continue to support Kim Dong Wan in his Shinhwa activities, as well as actively cheering him on his own activities.”
The agency asked fans to continue supporting Kim Dong Wan as he begins a new start.
Kim Dong Wan first signed with Liveworks Company in 2011, and appeared in MBC’s The Peak, KBS’ Cheer Up Mr. Kim, musicals Hedwig and Le Passe Muraille, and movie Deranged, receiving much praise as an actor.
Kim Dong Wan recently finished Shinhwa’s 16th anniversary concert with success on March 22 and 23.
