As the Open World Entertainment incident continues to send shockwaves through the scene, interest is being drawn as to where the singers signed with the agency will be going now that the agency is close to collapse.

The agency especially holds many singers—two idol teams and a solo singer who is also active as the member of a group.

One idol team was involved in the scandal, making it impossible for the team to continue promoting. Two members were booked without detention, but as the other members are also under the influence of the incident, the future of the group is unclear.

Another team has had all its comeback processes put to a stop. The group was planning to start promoting its album with an interview, but everything came to a halt when the agency rep was arrested the week before. It is unclear when preparations will start up again, and the members who had tweeted their anticipation toward their new set of promotions have stayed silent ever since the incident broke out.

There are rumors that the team wishes to move to a new agency together, but nothing specific has been decided on. Many state that because the prosecutors are still looking into the case, they will have to stay put for a while. This team’s future is also unclear.

On the other hand, there is a high probability that the solo singer signed with the agency will cancel his contract and move to another. One official said, “Other agencies can feel burdened by near-rookie status teams, but because [the singer] is a long-timer with a stable group of fans, he will be able to move to another agency if he wishes to.”

A source close to the singer also told enews, “We believe his contract with the agency will end. [The singer], and not his agency, is currently in control of his individual schedules.”

In the meantime, the incident itself is under investigation after being transferred to the prosecutors’ office.
