While the above list looks kind of like a teenager’s Facebook status gone wrong, it’s apparently the way that Girls’ Generation sets up its dances.

Recently, a user of an online community posted screen caps of Girls’ Generation dance formations with the title ‘Girls’ Generation and its surprising formation changes’. The post contained a Japanese fan’s blog post evaluating the characteristics of Girls’ Generation’s group dances, notable because one of the main reasons why Korean idol groups are so popular overseas and domestically is because of their quirky dances.

Japanese fans particularly seem to like Girls’ Generation’s Run Devil Run formation, which has the members cross each other in a X, but then immediately switch over to a V.

Meanwhile, fans are eagerly awaiting the latest dance that will accompany the single, The Boys, off the group’s third album, which will be released on October 4,worldwide.
