Kim Soo Hyun to Not Hold Additional Fan Meeting in Korea Despite Fan Requests
With the fan requests pouring in for Kim Soo Hyun’s additional fan meeting, the agency reported its current situation on the issue.
Key East rep told enews, “Fans have been sending in request to add another fan meeting in Korea. After careful consideration, we’ve decided that it will be difficult to schedule another fan meeting as of now.”
Kim Soo Hyun will be holding the first event of his Asia fan meeting tour on March 16 at Sejong University. The 2,000 tickets that went available on February 27 were sold out within five minutes.
Due to the actor’s increasing popularity, thanks to SBS’s You Who Came From the Stars, tickets to the fan meeting are being scalped, with some fans willing to pay up to one million won (~930 USD) for the ticket, which originally cost 33,000 KRW (~30 USD).
The actor’s fans have also mobilized to start signing the official request to add in Kim Soo Hyun’s fan meeting in Korea, with over 900 fans already signing in four days, with the goal to reach 1,200.
But the agency expressed its concern on meeting the fans’ requests and said, “Of course he wants to meet with more fans in Korea. So we’ve already increased the number of seats from 1,000 to 2,000. But it will be difficult for us to schedule another fan meeting, due to conflicts in schedule and renting out space.”
