Many celebrities have copped to being a little chubbier in the past, and this doesn’t exclude actor Lee Hyun Jin.

On the April 24 episode of SBS’ Strong Heart, the actor shed light on his heavier childhood.

During the episode he shared, “When I was in my first year of high school, at one point I weighed 108 kilograms (about 238 pounds). The girl I had been seeing since my last year of junior high broke up with me because of my weight. After that experience, I decided I needed to lose weight and in six months I shed 40 kilograms (about 88 pounds).”

Regarding the secret to his major weight loss, Lee Hyun Jin shared, “For two meals a day, I ate tofu and every day I ran around my school’s track field twenty times. Over the course of six months, I shed all that weight.”

To forget his bigger past Lee Hyun Jin revealed, “As soon as I lost the weight, I went to my friends and destroyed all my pictures. I wanted to eliminate that period altogether.”

But unbeknownst to Lee Hyun Jin, Strong Heart managed to get its hands on one of the few undestroyed photos from his childhood.

Besides the fact that the suave Lee Hyun Jin was definitely a lot heavier back then, the Strong Heart team also humorously pointed out his resemblance to North Korea′s current leader Kim Jong Un.

Guess that′s another reason Lee Hyun Jin should avoid hitting the snack bar too often!
