[Exclusive Interview] Got7 Talks Valentine′s Day Dates and Food
Described and promoted as the next 2PM, Got7 has proved to be much more than a ‘follow-up’ group to the popular JYP boy group, with hit debut single Girls, Girls, Girls immediately pulling in a slew of girls (and by that, we mean fans), although there are a fair amount of male fans who appreciate the group’s form of martial arts tricking.
Got7 met with Mwave’s enewsWorld on February 6, ahead of its scheduled live online fanmeeting for Mwave’s Meet&Greet to talk about fans, girls (girls, girls) and more.
As it’s the group’s first Valentine’s Day since its debut, the boys spilled the beans on what their ideal dates would be.
“I just want to watch a movie, take a walk and eat good food in a good restaurant,” said Mark. “It has to be a good restaurant!”
Jr. also seemed to want a simple date, saying, “In the summer, when the weather is nice, I want to ride a bike...and riding together would be nice too, on those tandem bikes?”
“And if it’s a date with fans, I want to do something that everyone does,” added Jr. “Like Mark hyung said, just eat together, or watch a movie, or just walk down the street and have talk.”
But since the group is still limited as far as public dates with fans, Jr also shared what he might like to give fans for Valentine’s Day.
“I want to give them something I make, it seems better than something that I would buy,” said Jr. “So, if it was something I made and and wrapped prettily, or something I made that tasted good...wouldn’t they be more touched?”
But Got7’s Jackson, was undeterred by reality. And perhaps because the weather has chilled up again, Got7’s Jackson, who comes from the warmer Hong Kong, immediately said, “I want to go to the beach! I want to have a beach party with all my fans. 2 million fans! I’ll spend one on one time with them...with 200 million fans!”
