[Poll] What YG Event Are You Most Excited About This Year?
YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk recently opened up about the agency’s plans for its artists in 2014, and with highly-anticipated debuts to high profile comebacks in the works, we want to know what event you’re looking forward to the most in the coming months.
New girl group reveal
Last year, Yang Hyun Suk expressed his desire to debut another girl group, and the plan still stands as he reiterated his goal to unveil one, hopefully, in the first half of the year.
YG trainee Jennie Kim, who has already shared the stage with Big Bang’s G-Dragon, has gathered particular interest as a forerunner to debut with the group, and fans continue to wait anxiously for an official date.
After coming out on top on Mnet’s WIN: Who is Next, Winner, YG’s secret weapon and first male idol group since Big Bang, will make its debut this year.
The talented group has already amassed a large fan following, and in an effort to not disappoint fans, Yang Hyun Suk said that the group will release a full length album with tracks written by the members themselves.
2NE1 world tour
2NE1 has been busily promoting its upcoming world tour AON: All or Nothing , which will kick off in Seoul on March 1.
YG also hinted at a new 2NE1 album with the group’s world tour announcement earlier this month, but for now the girls are suiting up in space suits and swinging lightsabers in futuristic teasers for its nine-countries-and-counting tour.
Big Bang comeback
2013 was a year of growth for the Big Bang members individually, as G-Dragon, Taeyang, Seungri and T.O.P all released solo records, showcasing their personal music styles, all the while embarking on a dome tour in Japan.
Although we got to see plenty of the members last year, Yang Hyun Suk confirmed Big Bang will finally regroup to release a full length album this summer, granting our wish to see the group whole again.
