Singer Revealed to be Involved in Open World Case
More developments in the Open World case are shocking the public, as it was revealed that a currently active singer was involved in the incident.
On April 17, a singer was brought in as a suspect along with the agency rep.
The singer is a new suspect, different from the idol group member already known to have taken part in the sexual assault, and is not signed with Open World. The police said that he “is not a very well known singer.”
The police are currently looking into how involved the singer was in the case and whether he had received any orders from the agency rep. As the singer is an adult, however, there is a possibility that he got involved of his own will.
The police are also investigating the member of an idol group signed with the agency who got involved in the case after receiving orders from the rep for sexual assault. They plan to punish them once their charges are confirmed.
The numbers saved on the agency rep’s cell phone are serving as the background for the police’s investigation.
In March, the police started probing the case after receiving a tip on sexual assault suspicions, and arrested the agency rep in front of his office building in Gangnam on April 10.
The number of victims was originally known to be six, including two who are underage, but it has recently been confirmed to be 11 after additional investigation.
