This year will mark the eight anniversary of Evento 40 and the concert is expected to draw over 50,000 spectators. Moreover, U-KISS will share the stage with Colombia’s very own and world-famous pop star, Shakira.

Evento 40 will be a two-day event from May 11-12 and will include a press conference, as well as many performances. Besides Shakira and U-KISS, 15 other groups from the United States, Central and South America will also participate in Evento 40. In addition, the pop concert will air on Colombia’s largest private broadcast network (Caracol TV Principales) as well as in various Central and South American countries.

U-KISS members said, “We are grateful to appear as the K-Pop representative to such a big event. We heard that K-Pop is growing in popularity in South America these days. Although this will be our first visit to Colombia, we will make sure to spread the K-Pop virus in Colombia and Central and South America as Asia’s representative singers.”

Meanwhile, U-KISS will release its new mini-album Doradora on April 25 and appear on Mnet’s M Countdown Hello Japan at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on the same day.
