Sad news for SHINee fans in Korea, as the group’s promotional activities in Korea for Sherlock will soon draw to a close.

SHINee to End Promotions for ‘Sherlock’ on April 21, Heads to Japan Next

The April 20 broadcast of KBS’ Music Bank and April 21 airing of MBC’s Show! Music Core will mark the last promotions by SHINee for Sherlock. SHINee had originally planned to wrap up promotion in four weeks but decided to add one more week to its schedule.

The group achieved great success from its mini album winning first place on April 6 and April 13 on Music Bank and earning the coveted triple crown on SBS’ Inkigayo after winning on April 1, April 8 and April 15. Sales of Sherlock were also enormously successful, as the album shifted 135,370 copies in ten days following its March 21 release (according to Gaon), marking it the best-selling album for the month of March 2012.

Following the end of promotions for Sherlock, SHINee will head to Japan where it will kick off SHINee’s first Japanese concert tour, titled, The first Japan Arena Tour SHINee World 2012. The tour will kick-off on April 25 in Fukuoka.
