[Poll] Which ’90 Idol Will Reign in the Year of the Horse?
It’s New Year’s Eve here in Seoul, which means it’s officially time to kick off the New Year celebrations!
According to the Chinese calendar, 2014 is the Year of the Horse, which, in idol years, means this is the year for those born in 1990.
The Lunar New Year is still weeks away, but we’re getting a head start and rounding up a few idols who not only shook up the scene in 2013 but whom we predict will shine even brighter in 2014 – simply because it’s in the stars!
But we want to know which 1990 baby YOU think will reign in the Year of the Horse, so vote below!
Crayon Pop’s Cho A, Way, Ellin
Crayon Pop had us jumping and jumping in 2013 with Bar Bar Bar, and as the most sought–after idol group for this year’s year-end festivities, we suspect the rookie group will continue to keep us on our feet in 2014.
The fact that members Cho A, Way and Ellin were all born in the Year of the Horse spells a lucky 2014.
Vixx’s Leo and N
Vixx had much reason to celebrate in 2013 after clinching a number one trophy for Voodoo Doll on KBS’ Music Bank earlier this month.
The boys even crossed uncharted K-Pop territory by holding concerts in Sweden this year, and with Vixx’s representative horses Leo and N leading the way, we think the boys will only reach higher ground in 2014.
Block B’s Taeil, Jaehyo, B-Bomb
After surviving a few rough patches earlier this year, Block B proved there’s nothing it can’t overcome, returning with a new label and single Very Good.
The boys aren’t fazed by whatever comes their way – good or bad – but we hope it’s all very good for Block B in 2014,
B.A.P’s Bang Yong Guk and Himchan
B.A.P did very well for itself in 2013, and with valiant leader Bang Yong Guk and the strong Himchan – both horses - bolstering the group, 2014 should be no different.
From Japan to the U.S. B.A.P traveled far and wide this year, and the world is still for the group’s taking. It is the best, absolute, perfect after all.
EXO’s Lu Han, Xiumin, Kris
There’s no denying that EXO ran the K-Pop world as a pack in 2013, but we would love to see more of the members’ personalities shine in 2014.
2014 is bound to be a big year for EXO, the group, but will horses Lu Han, Xiumin and Kris have a particularly out-of-this-world year?
CN Blue’s Lee Jong Hyun
The CN Blue guitarist proved to be quite the romantic in Love Falls with label mate Juniel this winter season, and we can’t wait to see what else 2014 has in store for the talented musician and actor.
After his appearance in 2012 SBS drama A Gentleman’s Dignity, we’d love to see more of Lee Jong Hyun on the small screen – when he’s not melting our hearts with CN Blue, of course.
From rapping to archery, it seems there’s nothing SISTAR’s Bora can’t do, and the girl group member continues to surprise us with her many hidden talents.
After striking gold with another SISTAR19 hit this year, Bora is currently showing off her style sense on SBS’ Fashion King Korea.
After dominating the early part of 2013 with I Got a Boy, SNSD’s horse Sooyoung let her bubbly personality shine outside of the girl group as an entertainment news program MC and actress in tvN’s Dating Agency Cyrano.
With SNSD’s comeback set for early January, we think 2014 will be all about the girls, but we’ve got our eye on one girl in particular – Sooyoung.
Vote now for the 1990 idol you think will reign in 2014!
