SISTAR’s Hyolyn Says She Doesn’t Get Nervous on Stage Anymore Thanks to Stevie Wonder
SISTAR’s Hyolyn shared on her recent experience of performing with Stevie Wonder.
In December 24’s broadcast of Mnet’s Wide Entertainment News, Hyolyn will show off her honest and easygoing personality.
“I’ve never received as many calls as I did after I performed with Stevie Wonder,” said the SISTAR member. “All the people doing music envied me for being on the same stage as him. Many of them asked me to get his autograph.”
Hyolyn performed a collaboration stage along with Stevie Wonder earlier this year at 2013 Mnet Asian Music Awards.
“I asked him to take pictures with me too,” continued Hyolyn. “We rehearsed for over two hours prior to the show. I could feel how much he loved music. Music was a part of his everyday life.”
“The first thought that came to my mind before the performance was, ‘I must not make any mistakes, and do well,’ but later on I started feeling embarrassed for myself,” confessed Hyolyn. “Then I realized, more than anything, I needed to convey my love of music to the audience through my performance. I realized many things through that short moment of performing with Stevie Wonder. I used to get nervous on stage, but not anymore.”
