To commemorate the anniversary, Jung boarded a special train that was heading towards Koma in search of a Koguryo village in the Saitama Prefecture. That day, he delivered the donation for the memorial of King Gwanggaeto the Great and honored Koguryo’s history with the fans.

Highlighting the significance of the event, more than a thousand fans and members of the media showed up, proving Jung’s widespread popularity in Japan thanks to his role in MBC’s The Sun and the Moon. In addition, Jung deftly sidestepped China’s assertion about the origin of Koguryo.

An official at the scene said, “More than a thousand fans gathered that day and Jung took a group picture with them. In doing so, he helped improve the relationship between the two countries.”
