2PM and 2AM to Produce Japanese Documentary Together
2PM and 2AM will be producing a documentary film in Japan, which will show how the two groups were formed and how they became the biggest idol groups in Asia.
The documentary, titled Beyond the Oneday Story of 2PM & 2AM, will show everything there is to know about the biggest performance group 2PM and the biggest vocalist group 2AM. Videos of the groups performing together for the first time for the JYP Nation in Japan 2011 concert, behind-the-scenes shots and their promotions as artists will be contained in the documentary.
The documentary will then delve deeper into the groups, following the members on their schedules and include in-depth interviews that reveal what the members truly think.
The members of 2PM said, "2PM and 2AM were trainees together. Now, there isn′t much time for us to meet in our busy schedules. We′re thankful that we′ll be producing a piece with our friends, whom we′ve been with for six years. We hope many more people will get to know us through the film."
"We believe you′ll be able to see something different about us compared to how we are on stage through this film," added the 2AM members. "We want to share what we feel and what we think by revealing our daily lives. We hope many more people are attracted to 2AM and 2PM and feel how close we are like family."
The two groups left for Japan together on April 10 to shoot the film and were received by a big group of fans and members of the press that had gathered at Haneda Airport to see them arrive. About 1,500 fans and media outlets gathered at the airport that day, the biggest group to gather at the airport for a K-Pop group.
Beyond the Oneday Story of 2PM & 2AM will premiere on June 30 in Japan.
