Kim Ha Neul, the queen of romcoms, will be making a return to the small screen.

Kim Ha Neul will be making her first drama comeback in two years through the drama A Gentleman’s Dignity. The drama is currently gathering attention even before it’s started to air for its star-studded cast, which includes Jang Dong Gun, Kim Su Ro, Kim Min Jong and Lee Jong Hyuk, and for the fact that it is a collaboration between screenwriter Kim Eun Sook and producer Shin Woo Chul of SBS’ Secret Garden.

Many are looking forward to whether Kim Ha Neul, who worked with the same team for the drama On Air, will be able to topple the legend of Secret Garden with the upcoming drama.

Kim Ha Neul will become the high school ethics teacher Seo Yi Soo, who is bright and outgoing yet strict. Kim Ha Neul showed off her skills as a veteran actor by being the role with her determined expressions and ringing voice in the shoot held on April 8 in a high school in Seoul.

She especially looked like a neat schoolteacher in her neat white shirt and striped knit. Although her style was simple, her beauty managed to light up the studio.

A rep from the drama’s production company Hwa&Dam Pictures said, “We’re satisfied as Kim Ha Neul perfectly portrayed the upright yet cheerful Seo Yi Soo from her first shoot. Kim Ha Neul is showing a great will and affection for the role. Please look forward to Kim Ha Neul’s transformation to a role model teacher.”

A Gentleman’s Dignity will be a romance drama about four middle-aged men who have already been through love, separation, success and failure and now are strong enough not to fall for anything. Its first episode will air on May 26.
