Ryu Si Won Wants to Keep His Family Together
Ryu Si Won revealed his official stance on the divorce rumors. He said he wishes to keep his family together and that he will work hard so that the conclusion doesn’t turn out to be divorce.
Ryu Si Won’s agency R’s Company revealed through a press release sent to enews on April 9, ‘He never agreed to the divorce, and he is showing a strong will to keep his family together by holding thorough conversations with his wife’.
The press release was Ryu Si Won’s first official stance to be revealed since his divorce became known. Ryu Si Won refrained from contacting anyone after his divorce suit hit the papers, an action which is thought to be because his divorce made it into the news before he had reached an agreement on the subject with his wife, Miss Cho.
The press release continued, ‘His agency believes that if they can bridge their differences in opinion through mature conversations, they won’t reach a conclusion that involves divorce. As Ryu Si Won always loved his daughter so much, even while the proceedings continue, he will do his best to protect his family’.
Ryu Si Won and his agency seemed to be taken aback as the divorce became known when he was working hard to avoid it.
Before the press release was issued on April 9, a media outlet had quoted a legal official to have said that “Ryu Si Won’s wife Miss Cho turned in an application for divorce mediation to the Seoul Family Court.”
The two met through an acquaintance in 2009, and after seeing each other for a year, wed in October 2010. The couple had its first daughter three months after its marriage, and Ryu Si Won continued to show his love for his daughter, boasting that she looks exactly like him.
Ryu Si Won planned to return to the small screen through the Channel A drama Goodbye Wife, which will start airing on May 7. Although he had a drama shoot scheduled for the day, he cancelled the shoot as if he was concerned of the attention being trained on him.
