Lee Gak Shows Off Detective Skills in ′Rooftop Prince′
Prince Lee Gak, showcasing reasoning skills that would have made detective Conan proud, has started to unravel the clues in Rooftop Prince.
The fifth episode of SBS’ Rooftop Prince, which aired on April 4, revealed Prince Lee Gak’s (Park Yoo Chun) declaration to live as the third generation business magnate, Yong Tae Yong.
That day, Lee Gak brought his henchmen Song Man Bo (Lee Min Ho), Woo Yong Sool (Jung Seok Won) and Do Chi San (Choi Woo Sik) to Yong Tae Yong’s house. He then showed them a picture of Yong Tae Yong, revealing the remarkable resemble between the two, and ordered them to stop calling him ‘His Highness’.
Afterwards, Lee Gak shared the news that he found and was about to meet a woman who looked exactly like his former princess. Showing his doubts, Song Man Bo asked, “Is the reincarnation coming? Do you know where the princess’ body lies?”
Lee Gak replied, “I know [where she is] and that’s why I’m trying to become Yong Tae Yong. It appears Yong Tae Yong is already dead somewhere. If that weren’t the case, there would be absolutely no reason for me to have come here from Joseon.”
“Yong Tae Yong’s disappearance could provide us with clues to the princess’ death. We should be able to return to Joseon once we discover the truth behind her murder. Keep in mind that I am no longer a prince [here]. I will be Yong Tae Yong from this moment on.”
Starting with the fifth episode, Lee Gak’s clumsy image also disappeared. Furthermore, he cut his hair short and even fixed his parlance saying, “Now that we are over here, we need to abide by its laws.”
Moreover, Lee Gak was aware of the reappearance of the butterfly and became convinced that it shared some kind of connection with the time slip that brought him to present day Seoul. Many viewers are wondering when Lee Gak will discover the butterfly in the picture that was given to Park Ha (Han Jin Min) by Yong Tae Yong, and if he will solve the skein of intricate relationships in Rooftop Prince.
Viewers who saw the episode left their comments saying, “[Lee Gak’s] reasoning powers would have made detective Conan proud,” “There was no end to [Lee Gak’s] sweet, wonderful and princely charms today,“ and “I wonder where Yong Tae Yong is.. He is probably drawing pictures somewhere. Or maybe, he returned to Joseon and is pretending to be Lee Gak.”
